Tessa Hayes, Transitions Assistant Director

Tessa is a recent graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta, where she completed her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with Honors: Art Therapy with a concentration in Mental Health and emphasis in Art and Cultural Studies. In July Tessa will begin pursuing her Masters in Art Therapy. Tessa is enthusiastic about her role as Assistant Director of Transitions at Gallant Therapy Services, where compassion, commitment to professionalism, and experience working with families and children are valuable assets.


Tyler Hunt, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Tyler Hunt, a 2012 graduate from KVCC, has been working at Gallant Therapy Services since November 2012. He specializes in working with children that have Sensory Processing difficulties, ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, fine motor and gross motor deficits. His positive influence allows children to meet their goals and help them function in everyday life. He looks forward working with families, teachers, staff, and other practitioners to provide an effective team approach for his clients.


Amy Hutchinson, Transitions Director


Marybeth Briggs, Director of Community Supports, Augusta

Marybeth has been employed at GTS since 2010. She has certifications as a Personal Support Specialist, Direct Support Professional, and Behavioral Health Professional. Marybeth also has been the agency trainer for CPR and First Aid. She has participated in extensive trainings on Conflict Resolution and Management.

Mary Miller, COTA/L

Mary graduated with honors from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Kennebec Valley Community College in 2011, earning her A.A.S. She is a mother of three, grandmother of one, and works full time for Gallant Therapy Services in the pediatric OT clinic. She comes to GTS with experience working in school based OT, community based OT, and case management. She also teaches Kinesiology part time at KVCC as adjunct faculty for the OTA program and is a member of the KVCC Advisory Board.


Ryan Gallant, MOT, OTR/L, Director

Ryan Gallant is the Director and Owner of Gallant Therapy Services. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelors in Health Science with a focus in Rehabilitation Counseling and a minor in Sociology. Ryan then attended the University of Southern Maine where he obtained his Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. He is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Maine Occupational Therapy Association. He is licensed in the state of Maine and holds his certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
